Vapor Pressure

Vapor pressure is the pressure exerted by vapor particles above a solution during thermal equilibrium.

As the temperature of a solution increases, the particles gain kinetic energy, resulting in a greater number of particles released into the gaseous phase, increasing the vapor pressure. Vapor pressure and boiling point are inversely proportional.
