Institutional Racism

Policies, laws, or practices that create differential access to goods, services, or opportunities by race. It differs from individual racism, which is when an individual holds racist views about other individuals.

Institutional racism frequently operates at the level of the neighborhood. Racial minorities often have inferior access to education, health, and jobs due to the neighborhoods they live in.
